- Political Organization Focus Group:
- Makes contact and establishes relationships with elected political representatives of Northwest Louisiana at all levels (school board, city council, parish commissioners, and state representatives and senators); obtains information from the Education Focus Group to inform these representatives on our issues; and, prior to elections sends out surveys to candiates and conducts interviews with candidates to determine their position on our issues.
- Community Influence Focus Group:
- Makes contacts and establish relationships with the clergy and local civic clubs; obtains information from Education Focus Group to develop programs to educate and inform these entities.
- Public Relations Focus Group:
- Makes contacts and establish relationships with the local media (newspapers, radio and television stations); works closely with the Education Focus Group to offer and be prepared to serve as a source for local stories on our issues; periodically submits to the media information on current stories and issues of interest; and drafts and disseminates Public Service Announcements, when appropriate.
- Fundraising Focus Group:
- Solicits contributions from potential donors; plans activities to raise funds; works with existing groups or events to secure funds.
- Membership Focus Group:
- Promotes membership in PACE, reviews and recommends membership applications to the Executive Committee.
- Education Focus Group:
- Compiles information in LGBT issues and makes this information available to the other Focus Groups; prepares fact sheets and talking points to be used by the membership and focus groups; conducts workshops to educate members on topics of current interests.
- Social Focus Group:
- Plans regular socials and notifies members of the events via e-mail; plans a Pride event to be held during or near Pride Week (last week of June) each year.
- Nominating Focus Group:
- Submits a slate of nominations at the membership's November meeting.
